Many parents think brushing should start only after all teeth have erupted.

But the correct approach is:

• Between 6–12 months, clean the oral cavity with a soft clean cloth.

• 1-3 years → Use rice grain–sized toothpaste

• 3–6 years → Use pea-sized toothpaste

• After 6 years → Apply toothpaste along the full bristle length

Use appropriate size brush with soft bristles & change brush regularly

Develop the habit of brushing twice a day from an early age.

Morning and night brushing helps prevent cavities and tooth decay.

If despite brushing your child has:

• black spots

• tooth pain

• bad breath

• visible decay

Consult a pediatrician & pediatric dentist.
